What is your lead time?

It takes 8 working hours to create one HTML/CSS page. For any additional page that belong to the same project, it takes 3 – 8 working hours, according to the complexity and specifications of the order. We can start working on the project only after all details are absolutely clear between the client and our project manager. After posting an order you will see the prospective delivery date. Please note that delivery date is an approximate and can be changed according to order complexity and specifications. To ensure delivery in a shortest timeframe, you are welcome to try our Expedited service.

Also, please take into account the following:

Designs that contain GIF, JPEG, AI, PNG and non-layered PSD files will take more time to complete the order.
Designs that contain AI / EPS / inDD etc. formats will be converted into PSD and will demand your agreement before markup. It can take an additional time, so please note it. Also make sure that you attached all external images and fonts needed in your AI / EPS file.
CMS/eCommerce basic integration has another schedule compared with HTML/CSS markup, according to required functionality and commonly it takes 2 – 3 business days. The ETA for website development projects is subject to thoughtful examination with the quote.

Yes, it’s possible. You are welcome to send us a list of changes you want to be done. We will be glad to help you with minor tasks even if the original project specification not contained them. If the updates were not originally discussed and require more time to be processed, then new changes will be quoted separately. We are always happy to provide you with future updates of your project. What can I do with positive balance with your company?
It’s a usual case when you have some money left on your account after payment. You can choose by yourself – use it for future project or request a refund. Money assigned to your account and you can use it at any time.
Refund requests can only be done to your unique account that was used to make primary payment (i.e. your credit card, or your PayPal account).

Technical questions

What files format are supported?

Layered PSD, PNG or TIFF are the most suitable source file types. We work with Sketch files as well and accept designs in AI and EPS formats. Please pay attention that we need additional time to convert them into PSD format and also we will demand you agreement of the Sketch, AI or EPS to PSD conversion.

Flattened designs in PDF or JPEG are supported too, if layered files are not available. Please point precise dimensions in pixels for PDF source files that you want to be used for the page. You need to know that sometimes it is impossible to use flattened files for specific elements. Usually we need additional time for processing projects with flattened designs.

All files you send us must contain RGB color scheme. We will convert files with CYMK color scheme into RGB and this operation will require your confirmation. This move takes additional time and some tints can look different compare to the original version. If you already have existing markup we can use it as a source and also you are welcome to provide us local version of the page so we will use it for re-slicing.

What web browsers do you support?

We develop code according to W3C standards, so our markup is displaying correctly in all modern browsers.
Our QA Team tests web pages in Internet Explorer 11 and the latest versions of Google Chrome, Safari, Edge, Opera and Firefox with default settings for all packages.

What OS usually used the project tests?

Mac OS and Windows operating systems are used for test the projects.

SSI option. What is it?

Server Side Includes (SSI) is a simple server-side scripting language. With this tool site maintenance is much easier. The elements across the site are put in separate files for saving server resources. Simple example: footer of your site will load from SSI and then will be displayed constantly for every page that you have in your project. It doesn’t matter how many pages you have.
If this option is chosen, you will get two variations of the site: first one will include html pages and a second one that will use the SSI files. All html pages can be opened locally and from server.
PHP backend part can also be done if requested. Please tell us which elements must be included into SSI.

What additional information do you need if I order flexible layout width?

If you need flexible layout option, please provide us with the next information:

  • how exactly the pages should stretch horizontally;
  • what elements of the page should be flexible and what can stay fixed;
  • how the elements should be aligned.

We would be glad to receive a screenshot with the page at higher resolutions.
The minimum width of the pages will be associated with source files width.

Text is flattened in the design files. Can you help me with this?

Sure, we can. Please specify what font styles you want to use in your project and we will add text placeholders. Please note that the preferred type of files is layered PSD files with editable text.

What if I have non-web fonts in project? Google fonts / typekit or @font-face can be realized in my project?

In that situation we can use font-replacement techniques, but you have to check for it at Fonts.com. If it is safe and no license is needed we can use it on your project. Please pay attention that in this case the client is fully responsible for following EULA.
Adobe Systems fonts are known to be safe, but fonts from Berthold, FontFont, Fontsmith, Hoefler & Frere-Jones, ITC, Linotype require some additional licenses for their web use.

Compatibility with different mobile devices needed. Can you make it?

Yes, we can, you will get compatibility with Apple iOS (iPhone and iPad) from 9 and higher, Android 5+ and Windows Phone 8.1.

Does JavaScript work on mobile devices?

Yes it does work great in the most cases without problems. Of course you will be notified if it’s not possible.

What is the smallest screen resolution you usually testing for projects?

The smallest screen resolution we test on devices with 320px minimum screen resolution. If your resolution is less than 320px, please specify that when making the order.

Where can I find list of CSS3 properties for use in my project?

List of supported CSS3 properties you will find here. Properties are based on the browser type.

What is responsive design?

Responsive design means that web pages and page elements can change their size depending on the device’s screen. Technology is based on CSS Media Queries. Please check your designs, they must have these screen dimensions: desktops – 1024px, tablets – 768px, mobile devices – 480px or 320px. Here you will find some examples of Responsive Layout in action.

Which default screen resolutions are included in the Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile versions if I want a responsive site?

Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile versions have different width breakpoint per device type. For example: desktops – 1024px, tablets – 768px, mobile devices – 480px. Please indicate in your order what width you need and keep in mind that it may take an additional charge.

What is responsive email template?

Responsive email template works the same as responsive web site and allows to adapt layout depending on the screen resolution of the device that used. Those technology works on iPhone, iPad, and Android. On the other devices will be display a desktop version of the template.

Can you re-slice an existing site?

If you want new markup for an existing site, please add the local HTML files including css, images, etc. in your order. Also, please provide us with with the screenshot of how the page should look like or let us know in which browser the page is displayed correctly. URL links are not included by default, but we will be glad to discuss any additional functionality.

Are you working with JavaScript / AJAX / PHP?

Yes we are. Just tell us in what functionality you are interested in and what library or framework is preferable. In this case we will provide a new quote based on your request.

Are ASP.NET services supported?

At the moment ASP.NET services are not available, but we are always happy to help you with markup. Please provide us with the specific information about your requirements to the HTML / CSS, if needed.

My existing project files need some fixes. Can you help me with that?

Usually we prefer to do work from the scratch up to the finish. Therefore, this approach is a guarantee of high quality of final result. But if it necessary to redo existing files, you are always welcome to provide us with your code for for further consideration.

Email Templates

Is table-based coding (tables) for email templates is the only option? Why do we use it?

In general, it is not the only way to solve this situation. But it is preferable for maximum compatibility with most email clients even if they do not support CSS or cannot load images. Template marked up with tables for emails will be displayed correctly on all devices and in all email clients.

Are there any restrictions for the email templates design?

Since CSS opportunities for e-mail clients are limited, we need to start from the following requirements:

  • The text placed on top of the background will be executed as an image. Editable text in html format can be placed only on a solid color background;
  • Keep in mind that the buttons, which are located on top of the image will be converted into a one complete image.

What is the required width of an email template?

The optimal width is from 600px to 700px.

Which Font Should I Use for My Web Page?

Please use fonts without any effects. Other fonts will be included into images.

What if I need Mailchimp or Campaignmonitor compatibility? What should I pay attention to in this case?

All you need is to include a link that enable to unsubscribe from the newsletter (unsubscribe link).

I am using Mandrill app in my project. Can you make Mandrill-compatible templates?

Of course we do. You need to select Mailchimp compatibility option in your order to enable maximum flexibility of your Mandrill template.

For me, it is necessary to use Sass CSS preprocessor in email templates development. Do you provide this option?

It is not part of the standard set of services for css preprocessing email clients. But we are ready to use it by your request. This option is quoted $29 per email template.

How convenient it is for you to receive a design notes?
